As a 67 year old woman, my initial response to reconstruction was that I’d be doing it strictly for vanity. Dr. Jeremy assured me that was not the case. He was incredibly compassionate, good-humored and reassuring. What I appreciated about the process is that I’ve never looked down at a flat chest or horrible scars as my mother did 40 years ago. I feel very confident and pleased with my new breasts and laugh with my daughter that they are perkier now than hers! The staff has been fabulous. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Chris Williams and the staff at Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery. From my breast cancer diagnosis, to this current date, now a year later, I have felt cared for in every way. Dr. Chris took so much time always to answer all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. He even saw me the day after Thanksgiving to take my drains out. My single-stage reconstruction is a huge success. I only had the one surgery and the results have been so fantastic, I don’t feel anything else needs to be done. I only have two small scars and they are disappearing more all the time. All in all, the results from my reconstruction are beyond my wildest expectations. Breast cancer is not anything I would wish for anyone, but from my experience with Dr. Chris, I would recommend his services and staff to anyone, and already have!

I was treated after my double mastectomy by Dr. Christopher Williams. We spent the first year prepping for the DIEP Flap, which would take place six months after my final radiation treatment. After my DIEP Flap, I would go back three times for contouring and fat grafting to improve the appearance of my breasts. I have never been more impressed with any doctor than I am with Dr. Christopher Williams. Needless to say, I spent two years in his care and his skill and patient care is unmatched – and he was always there for me. I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Christopher Williams and I highly recommend him for the DIEP Flap procedure. The DIEP Flap reconstruction resulted in very realistic looking breasts. I have nothing but positive things to say about the doctors and staff at Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery. I received not only the best medical care, but also the greatest emotional support. The doctors, nurses and office staff are very professional and caring. Not to mention the results of my breast reconstruction! They worked with me all the way through to the final results. Which I am very pleased with. If I had not had the DIEP Flap technique available, I am not sure what I would have done about the cancer. Thankfully, this great option was available to me. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and my breast surgeon recommended Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery to me for reconstruction as soon as we decided a double mastectomy was the best procedure for my diagnosis. I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Chris Williams and his amazing staff every since. From the moment I walked into their offices, I’ve received nothing but respect, affection, and support from each person there. I have never dealt with such a professional and upbeat group of people, and I needed that during this really hard time in my life. They have been an essential p art of the team that got me through all this. Dr. Chris and my Patient Care Coordinator gently walked me through what was ahead of me in terms of reconstruction and recovery. It was all new to me, and the whole situation was overwhelming, but they were wonderful, and gave me hope.Dr. Chris and Dr. Jeremy Williams initially placed my expander during my mastectomy procedure. Dr. Chris worked with me to determine how much to use the expanders, and monitored me during my chemotherapy. A year after the mastectomy, I went in for the DIEP Flap procedure on both breasts. I again put my life and self esteem in the hands of these two doctors and their team. I was amazed and very pleased with what they did for me. Finally, Dr. Chris reconstructed my nipples, and then I had my areolas tattooed. I am thrilled with my appearance and how good I feel about myself. I feel beautiful, and am enjoying life again. These people are more than caregivers. They are my friends. My personal way of dealing with my cancer and treatment has been with humor-if I didn’t’ laugh, I’m sure I would have cried (more than I did). This may not be your way to handle reconstruction, but I am glad to say the doctors and staff were willing to play along with me and get me through. I know they will provide you with whatever type of support you need, too. I understand, at least in part, what you are facing if you are in need of reconstructive surgery. I chose the DIEP Flap surgery/reconstruction immediately following mastectomy because I felt better using my own belly fat to create breasts than inserting something foreign into my body. Dr. Jeremy Williams is wonderful and caring, and he listens. He really cares and wants his patient to be happy. I appreciate his kindness during such a frightening ordeal. I am so pleased by my outcome - having nipples made and tattooing I look quite normal - and don’t have to worry about breast cancer again after having the double mastectomy. I highly recommend Dr. Jeremy Williams for any cancer reconstruction procedures - I realize having a single side mastectomy presents a bigger challenge for symmetry, but am very pleased at the attitude at Park Meadows toward continuing to pursue methods (fat-grafting) to strive for symmetry and a look that gives self-esteem to the patient. I am confident they will continue to work to that end. Patience is required on the part of the patient toward this goal, as the procedures are achieved over several months of rehab and repeating the "grafts". Everyone at Park Meadows is very helpful and empathetic - a joy to work with!

Hearing the words "you have a rare form of breast cancer called metastatic Carcinoid tumors" can be the most frightening phrase a woman will ever hear. A range of emotions from fear, to anxiety and especially uncertainty start to take shape. Thankfully, there are treatments and medical professionals who live right here in Colorado who dedicate their lives to helping women survive their diagnosis. I researched and interviewed several. I feel that I was extremely blessed to encounter Dr. Christopher Williams, a plastic surgeon at Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery. Despite the trauma of the emotional pain at that time, meeting with Dr. Christopher Williams soon put me at ease. I was impressed with his knowledge, professionalism and kindness. He not only explained the benefits of reconstructive surgery, he provided me a CD for me to watch which enlightened my educational process. Additionally, I liked knowing how many breast reconstructive surgeries he had already performed. I learned that I was a candidate for the DIEP flap procedure, the most advanced form of breast reconstruction. During my surgery, Dr. Williams was wonderful. He appointed a special nurse to keep watch over me in the OR. She, in turn, provided hourly updates to my husband and both of my daughters. After he had completed the intricate procedure, he continued to monitor my vitals while I was in the ICU via his smart phone. He even provided my family with his cell phone number. Carcinoid cancer can provide some unique surgery challenges. Unfortunately, my body presented Dr. Williams with some of these challenges. I can’t praise him enough for everything he did for me. Through each one of my surgeries and each one of my challenges, his optimism, professionalism, respect and kindness also resonated through the Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery staff, including patient coordinator, office receptionist, experienced nurse personnel, and appointment schedulers. If I entered the office upset or fearful, I left feeling calm and secure. I would never have dreamed that this journey would have such a positive impact on my life. I am so pleased with my reconstruction. I have the body that I really never had before the mastectomy. I have smaller breasts and a flat stomach! My first visit to Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery, I felt that I had chosen the right office for me. The office and nursing staff were all very warm and friendly and I immediately felt welcome. Dr. Chris Williams is my surgeon and I could not have asked for a better surgeon. He is a caring, warm person with a sense of humor and always has your best interest in mind. I had some problems with the original reconstruction after bilateral mastectomies (completed by another surgeon) and implants and they needed to be removed. The image I had of myself was far from satisfactory. I wore baggy shirts to hide the lopsided reconstruction. After I spoke with Dr. Chris, he showed me some before and after pictures, spoke to me about the choices that were available and explained exactly what the procedures entailed. I chose to have the DIEP flap done. I am so happy with the results and would recommend Dr. Chris to anyone who needs to see a cosmetic surgeon for any of their needs. Not too many doctors would you their cell phone numbers in case you need them, no matter what time day or night.
